To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time

I really enjoyed this poem.I loved how it really makes you think about life and living it while your still young. I know its so cliche to say but we are not guaranteed tomorrow. The message I personally got from this poem was to live life now and don't wait tell your too old and its too late. I mean once your seventy years old its too late to do a lot of things that you could have done when you were twenty. I think a lot of people don't realize that life is like a vapor, its here then gone. I still hear almost everyday from one of my parents or grandparent "I wish I would have done that" or my favorite "I wish I was young again". It kind of makes me sad because reality kind of sets in and you realize they cant go back in time. To me this poem was also pleasing to read. I liked Roberts use of words and they way he somehow made them work together. This poem was inspiring as well because it reminds you to live life and do things NOW. We are all aware but its nice to be reminded because a lot of us I know can get caught up with school or work and whatever else our busy schedules hold and truly forget to stop and smell the roses. Another thing is a lot of people wake up and look in the mirror and they have gray hair and there once babies are taking care of there own babies. Being young is a blessing because you have your whole life to look forward to ,but then again when your old you have your whole life to look back on and your VERY WISE. lol. That's all.

it made me think the same thing! it really made me think about what i want to do with my life, and all the things i have oppurtunities to do now. like travelling, and singing or being crazy without responsiblity. that's something that can only happen while you're young. it just made me realise how short time is. SEIZE IT. :)

my dad too, always talks to me about when he was young point out things he did right and wrong, and things he regrets. i always think that when i'm older i would like to be able to tell my kids, yeah i tried this. whether the chance was good or bad, at least i tried and here's what happened... listening to my parents always motiveates me, just like thsi poem
